Interaction with Office 365 Groups

It would be great to be able to automate some tasks within O365 Groups. I would like to create a button flow that would create a new group and automatically copy some template documents into the SharePoint document list. Not sure if these would be Outlook or SharePoint or a whole new "Groups" category.

Some possible triggers:

  • When a new group is created
  • When a new message is sent to the conversation
  • When a member joins/leaves the group
  • When files are created/modified in the group
  • When calendar events are created/modified in the group calendar

Possible Actions:

  • Create a new Group
  • Add/remove members from the group
  • Create events in the group calendar
  • Copy files to/from the group documents
Status: Completed

You can now connect to Office 365 groups, you can read more about it here: https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/q3-2017-update/

Just to post something I'm looking for as well in regards to O365 Groups. The above would be great too. We use "Groups" for projects with our clients. If a new Group is created, would there be a way to automate copying a common folder structure on SharePoint from another Group we use as a "template" Group? Based on a new project we create a project folder with the same structure/contents, but add project related files to it. Hope this makes sense ...

Thanks,

Ben

Find Group Members and Email Group Members is needed!

I can now use Flow to remove groups! Thanks Flow developers!

This is now allowing me to use an Office Form to request Office 365 license levels, after approval Flow adds users to groups which then assign the licenses.

I would be great to tie the O365 Group email account into flow as well. For example, when Group@domain.com recieves an email, flow should do xyz. We would like to trigger new tasks in planner when a group recieves an email.

CCurrently flow only lets you connect to Shared Mailboxes, not O365 group mailboxes.

I'd need a solution to retrieve users from a group specifiedby human readable manner.

tiwould be nice retrieve o365 group objects from group name and then list group members

I'd lik use this to send individual  messages / approvals to each member of a department.
