Office 365 Group email Trigger

Trigger a flow when an email is sent to an Office 365 group mailbox.

This will be helpful to:

- Save attachments sent to a group to team document library or one drive (something like incoming emails on SharePoint on prem)

- Automate creation of events based on email sent to a group mailbox

Status: Under Review

Hey folks -

Thank you for the responses.

I am following up with my team to see if we can add a trigger that allows you to trigger a flow off of a mailbox (irrespective of whether a given user is following / not following that mailbox.)

Stay tuned.

I agree. It would be very usefeul to have that kind of trigger. In my opinion it's required for many scenarios around Groups.

There is so much that we can do with this. We drive so much content through our Outlook Groups and we are going to start using tags to mark specific content. We will be able to drive automated behaviors if we can watch emails coming into those groups and then take specific action.

We too would like this. Since you cannot currently do "nested" Groups, we could use this functionality to automatically email the "other" groups whenever the main group receives a message.

Level: Power Up

this would be ideal.

I am working with a customer, who would also like a Flow to trigger a notification into their Microsoft Teams space, when a mail arrives in their Outlook O365 group mailbox.

I have tested this successfully with my personal mailbox and an O365 groups based Teams space, but this doesnt seem to work for the mailbox of the Group and flow fails with 'REST API is not yet supported for this mailbox. This error can occur for sandbox (test) accounts or for accounts that are on a dedicated (on-premise) mail server. clientRequestId: 5612a160-f7d1-4917-aa58-2b2707fce0dd'.

as echoe'd above, this would be hugely relevant to streamline O365 groups based activity into a single appliccation layer such as Teams.  Any idea whether this is on the roadmap?

Level: Powered On

Since the Office 365 group is easier to use, we are eager to implement this function.
