Office 365 Group email Trigger

Trigger a flow when an email is sent to an Office 365 group mailbox.

This will be helpful to:

- Save attachments sent to a group to team document library or one drive (something like incoming emails on SharePoint on prem)

- Automate creation of events based on email sent to a group mailbox

Need this. As Planner comments are saved as conversations in the underlying Group mailbox, having a connector could enable us to access Planner comments (not possible under the Planner connector as I understand).


But that is by the by, this should be available just as it is for personal mailbox and shared as a basic.

All other folks - there exists a workaround. Just add a user's mailbox or shared mailbox to Office 365 group as a member and use appropriate trigger "When a new email arrives (V3)"/"When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox (V2)".

In Power BI Desktop I have the connector "Microsoft Exchange Online".
I enter the email of my SharePoint Group -> connect with Microsoft Account

Only the table Mail contains data , with a lot of columns but the column "Attachments" are the most interesting ones. It can be extended to Attachments Contents, which mean you can get the attachments it self.

The question is why is the connector "Microsoft Exchange Online" not available?

I also tried to create a power bi workflow with the connector "Microsoft Exchange Online" connect with Microsoft Account and then get a unexpected error.
So dataflow seems not to work right now.

This is a critical addition to make Flow and Groups useful for our organisation. Right now Groups are useful for file storage but for communication they are no more useful than a traditional mailing list. This feature would start to change that in a positive way

I'm currently using the work-around that @VictorIvanidze suggested, but it's not a good solution since our associates move around quite a bit. Finding someone to always be a part of the group is tough. We really need to see this idea implemented.

I'd like to propose a small improvement: use a shared mailbox as a member of Office 365 group.

As a shared mailbox does not linked with a user account, this approach eliminate the problem "a user has left the company ".

Also  I'd recommend to create a special account that will run flows.
