OneNote Link to Microsoft Todo

So the OneNote to Microsoft To-Do link would be highly useful if you're using lots of To-Do's in OneNote & MS ToDoList.

So Scenario is:-

The Trigger on OneNote would be "When a Todo is created"

The action could be to "Add to Microsoft ToDo List"

Then this could link the two up together and could sync with each other

This could possibly work if you're adding Section and pages in OneNote and then this could create separate lists on Microsoft To do.

Please tell me your thoughts.

Thanks,

Sam

I am also looking for this to come as template in Flow.

have to-do list associated with page/section in onenote that way all information about that task can say in onenote.

This would be amazing!  Currently I add a checkbox to a line in my notes in OneNote as a reminder of what I need to do, then I go to Microsoft To-Do to add the item to my todo list.  Microsoft To-Do helps me prioritize everything I need to get done, but OneNote has all the context around why I need to get that task done.

Running multiple projects acoss the country I use Onenote and MS Todo extensively. Along with tracking and following up on numerous emials. The one issue I have is remembering to follow up on the action items in Onenote unless I place these in MS Todo so the ability to link these together would be great

So within onenote you can flag a line item as an Outlook Task.

If you do so, the task will be added to MS Todo automatically.

Not sure if that does the trick for you

@ArnoldIJzermans - the new one note doesn't allow to flag unfortunately.

@ArnoldIJzermans flagging onn ote line works well in outlook task but i still have to manually  move the task to todo task list in outlook

I second this as I have started to use OneNote as a bullet journal, but need To-Do as the main function to set up reminders, especially reperating tasks.  I tend to use Outlook for emails and mainly for the Calendar, not for Outllok tasks.  The other day I noticed Outlook flagged emails find their way into To-Do.

If implemented, this featureshould allow two-way set-up, ie either from To-Do to OneNote (specified notebook/section) or from OneNote to To-Do.  This would be useful to that OneNote can gather the relevant notes for a To-Do task.

I third this. Direct link capability from OneNote to ToDo

I 4th this recomendation. In our business we use OneNote for all our leadership meetings. We use the "To Do" check box for assigned tasks. The trouble is that you have to go back over several weeks of meeting pages to see which tasks are still open.

Having a direct connection between OneNote To Do's and Microsoft To-Do lists would be a massive value add to our organization. I'm not sure why the new Microsoft OneNote removed the ability to link up to outlook. You need the 2016 desktop app to be able to do that, which still works. It's a messy work around and I'm not able to get the tasks to automaticaly go to the shared list in To-Do.

I used to work in an area where Task/Project managers like Asana were available. Now the ability to use outside software is locked down. If there was a way to Combine To-Do and One Note so that a One Note Entry (Section) created a task in To-Do. I have a high volume job and need the reminder list and ability to move do-dates around, but To Do has started randomly deleting all my cut and paste text in the text box. So, 6 months of emails wiped with no way to recover. One Note keeps those items safe, but there's no way for me to prioritize by a deadline in a job where everything is driven by a deadline. Please think about this!!
