now the flow can read Person or Group field only with single person details. If its set for multiple values, the flow return null.
Would be better to read multiple values (emails for us) for case if we need to use this field for approval email on more persons.
If its problem to return all information about multiple persons, you can use setting from field, accordit what filde (ID, email, Department) will be the main, for reading in flow.
We now support multiple-valued Person and Choice fields, read more here: https://flow.microsoft.com/blog/button-types-more/
You've got to be kidding me Microsoft! How much longer will it take for you to do that?!!!?!??!"Work less, do more" - absolute lie if you can't even integrate your own products such as MS Flow and SharePoint.Hope you will fianlly look into this ticket and resolve asap.
Hello @Stephen and @KeremY, what is the status of this request since it has been started ? 'Cause I see it has been started almost 1 year ago. It is impossible for you to do it ?
@Parmi's solution does work well, it achieves the desired result. It's a bit of extra effort, but I followed the steps exactly and it worked on the first run. If you really want this functionality, I suggest checking out Parmi's blog post and giving it a shot. I learned years ago not to hold my breath waiting for Microsoft to deliver.
This is a priority for me - it is the main reason I want to use FLOW.
I was able to do this in SharePoint Designer, but not now.
This is currently a big step backwards 😞
sorry, deleted, misunderstood the question.
@Anonymous I haven't tried using approvals with this scenario, so I'm unsure of how that would come together.
@kodekreachor Having another question.
In My scenario
On a sharepoint list i have two columns
Owner=People picker multiselect.
There are couple of products that has multiple owners whith people picker multiselect option.
I'm trying to get product information into powerapps and based on product we select a textbox should populate with owner information.
Did you try for any workaround. Pplease let me know.
This needs to work for multiple choice fields as well as person & group fields. I am using Flow to change a status field in a list that also contains a multi-choice field. Because of the lack of support, I lose the original multiple values, when I try to update the Status (single choice) field! It would be great if I had the option to set the multi-choice field value in the Update List Item action by using the returned results from the same field from the Modified List Item trigger and skip the looping construct to iterate through the choices.
