It would be also useful to have a trigger when the task is moved from one group to another. For instance, in a Scrum approach, when it moves from ToDo to Backlog or viceversa.
I think this is ultimately why we are not embracing planner as a wholesale task management product. If we could update a sharepoint list when an item is modified this would be so useful! ๐
What is needed mostly is the "When Planner Task is modified or updated"
Of course, this would all be for naught if we are unable to update the tasks in SharePoint that was created using a flow triggered by a Planner Task Creation.
In the end what is needed is a way to create a persistant link between tasks in Planner and Tasks in Sharepoint. Shouldn't this be possible using MS Flow?
I've been after something like this since first using Planner/Flow/SharePoint. Not being able to update a SharePoint list when a Task in Planner is changed from 'Not started' to 'In progress' is a massive oversight. Changing Priority or Dates also poses the same issues, it can quite easily lead to a Task in Planner not matching its corresponding SP List item which is bad for data integrity. It would be excellent if a Flow could trigger when a Task is modified.
In my case, I would like to be able to get a notification whenever a "Due Date" is modified. I thought I would be able to do that with Power Automate but the connector is missing :s
My team is attempting to move from Microsoft Excel to Planner/SharePoint Lists. Trigger for when a task is updated is crucial for using Planner/Flow successfully.
