Would be nice to be able to have the option 'Is HTML' in the 'send an approval email' so that there can be consistency between 'send an approval email' and also 'send an email' when both are required to be used within the same flow.
You can now include rich text in approvals. Techincally, it's markdown not HTML, but it lets you do the same scenarios: https://flow.microsoft.com/blog/rich-approvals-text-and-multiselect/
So seeing as there is still no solution to this. I have been playing around with the send email with options which delivers the look and feel in the email I want to achieve for an approval email using the HTML code setup.
However this now means approvers are not able to APPROVE requests via the app. So 1 forward step with look and feel but 3 back in terms of functionality, thus making the app redundant - still one of the most annoying features I have experienced with using Flow... Please get a REAL solution to this soon!!
Please give us the option for HTML in approval emails. Its crazy that this is not an option.
Have tried using HTML and markdown to format approval emails but had issues with both - please implement a fully working solution to get round this. There is loads of people screaming out for this, including me!
Why approval email details field does not support html, but send an email does. If it's not supported with html, how can I insert a link or attachment for approver to review......? This makes me crazy. Please add this feature ASAP.
Have you tried this?

HTML support is a must!
How can one include multiple lines for approval in one approval email without the use of a html table?
As soon as data is referenced in markdown an "apply to each" action is inserted, resulting in 10 approval emails for one 10 line order.
Please prioritse adding html functionality to approval flows.
Reference the data within a variable and reference the variable inside the approval.
This should not be marked as completed... html is far better a solution than markdown (which is flaky, doesn't work great in outlook, and is hard to pre-format in an editor to test visualizing the result)
Any updates on the ability to add HTML to the approval emails? This would help out a ton for the user getting the notice as the rest of the content is generic. The link to the item is nice but not having to open a form for review would be value added. Markdown shouldn't be the only/final solution, the table produced is not user friendly. Thanks!
