Send an Email when specific cells are updated in an excel workbook

we currently have a system set up whereby the controllers of a spreadsheet get an email if anyone updates certain fields,  when they have authorised, it automatically then sends the person who updated the spreadhseet an email advising them.    however the coding is complicated and we'd like other users to be able to use a similar function.
