I would like to create a calendar event in a SharePoint calendar on the same site as a list. This should be created in an approval flow as a Flow action after approving a new item in that list.
The SharePoint Create Item does not allow selecting my calendar from the site.
Is there another way to achieve this.
I would like to do the same action.
there is a solution?
You should be able to manually type in the name of your calendar as List Name, it just doesn't show up in the dropdown list.
I have the same issue. I am trying to create a vacation request procedure using flow. I am now stuck with this element. At the moment users simply add their vacation dates to a sharepoint calendrar on our team site with no approval process. I was wondering if an alternative was to have a team outlook calendar, but haven't managed to get that to work either. Any ideas?

At the end I did the flow and it is working fine the only problem is that the calendar option form is different from the format of the outlook calendar so it is difficoltà to set the all day event
In few words I have created a list with an approval flow that if approved create a calendar event on the share point calendar shared with all the team, but unfortunately for the calendar event is difficult to set the all day event and the hours
For any other clarification I am available also sharing the flow
I'm trying to do exactly this - can you tell me how you've set up the flow to add to the site calendar please?
We did the same thing and we can't mark the event we created in SharePoint Calendar with "All Date Event" and it cause the Event End Date shows one day before the real end date on the Calendar viiew. Does Flow team solve this problem by adding "All Date Event" field into update calendar field list?
to solve the proble on the day before you have to set properly the time zone in the sharepoint calendar.
I had the same problem and I fixed in this way.
For the one day event i am still waiting the resolution from flow team
We have created a Vacation Request and Approval flow that works all the way through to posting a calendar event. Currently we have been able to create a SharePoint LIST and present that in a Calendar View. However, the ability to sync and see that list view in the Outlook calendar is disabled. (Hovering over the 'Connect to Outlook Icon" gives the message: 'This control is currently disabled....') To work effectively, we require the ability to CREATE A CALENDAR EVENT to a SharePoint Calendar that is viewable in an Outlook calendar.
With all the connections available to sync with a Google Calendar, it would seem that there would be a flow connection that would, once a request is approved, create an event in a calendar on the same SharePoint Site where the requests and approvals reside and allow that same calendar to be accessed from Outlook.
If I am missing something, please let me know. I can provide the flow if detailed information is needed to help us resolve this issue.
My need for this mirrors ShepQA's comment. I need a way to create a calendar event in SharePoint to a caldndar list that can be connected to Outlook.
