I would like to be able to trigger a notification to the original task creator upon completion. If a trigger could be task completion that would be great as well
I am surprised that this is not available. I am making a notification for teams to get a notification on new tasks and so I have to make a very clunky workaround to make this happen.
I am creating a flow that i think will work. Create a list of all the task IDs in a sharepoint list. Then every five minutes compare the task list to the sharepoint list. If there is a new one it will send an alert and add it to the sharepoint list.
A trigger would be appreciated. Would like to be able to visualize some of the tasks into Power BI. Example - calculating task completion dates to create a burndown chart.
I need the trigger too, My "Teams" users want to use planner but until an email is sent to an assignee on task assignment this won;t be adopted. Even better a notification in the Team's Chat would be perfect!
A trigger on task update, update a list item on SharePoint Online and send email notifications. For example, when a task is updated, update a status field or assigned to info, on the SharePoint list item. We may not want our users access to Planner, but they should have access to the SharePoint list that triggered the creation of the Planner task to begin with.
Triggers for Planner are now available, read more here: https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/planner-triggers-connector-improvements/
