Make it possible to duplicate actions in a Flow

I would find it a HUGE improvement to be able to have a existing action, for example Send Email that has a connection and some info already filled in or not (both would be an improvement) and that you can either have an option "copy/duplicate" this action or that you could copy paste (ctrl + c => ctrl + v) to do so.   Having a switch action for example where in each case a mail should be send, you have to manually create the action each time. Copy action - time saver

It would be nice if I could copy an action into another. It'll make it easier and faster to complete the flow.   For example: Depending on the day of the week, I need to update the [todayschedule] on SharePoint list.  Using the Switch/Case actions, on Monday case, add an [Update Item] action. Then copy this action for Tuesday - Friday cases and just change the [todayschedule] column without needing to select the list path, list name, ID, and other required contents each time.   Thanks.     ... This day has finally arrived when Flow supports copy paste.

Although it seems like a simple feature to build, there is a lot of complexity involved in supporting this feature. Especially when you think about handling references and action names across flows.

 

I appreciate all the feedback on this post, and know that you've played a very important role in shaping the future of Microsoft Flow.

You can now organize your flows into solutions. Solutions are like tags or folders. They are like folders in that they can contain flows, plus they can contain other assets like PowerApps, CDS entities etc.... They are also like tags in that a single flow can be in more than one solution - so your not tied to one strict heirarchy. The new Solutions tab is available for any envirnomnet that has CDS enabled. Increase approval timeout to more than 30 days

When sending an approval email through Flow, if no answer is received within 30 days, the Flow times out and fails.   In some cases, 30 days is not enough time to receive an approval.     Please increase Flow approval timeout to 60 or 90 days.   Thanks. ... View more

It seems like basic functionality to have a trigger when a Sharepoint list item is deleted, but somehow, that functionality doesn't exist. Thank you for your feedback. We released this feature as part of the functionality in the new Business Rules designer. On the designer, create a branch and add two (or more) rules. On the properties pane, below the last rule, there will be a dropdown which specifies how to evaluate the rules, either through AND or OR operators.

Person or Group field in item should support multiple values readable in flow

Hello, now the flow can read Person or Group field only with single person details. If its set for multiple values, the flow return null. Would be better to read multiple values (emails for us) for case if we need to use this field for approval email on more persons.   If its problem to return all information about multiple persons, you can use setting from field, accordit what filde (ID, email, Department) will be the main, for reading in flow.   Thank you ... Ability to see run history with actual date time instead of time ago

I have many flows and they get initiated many times during the day. When I am managing the flows and try to solve some issues it is very hard to find the flow instance I am looking for because the display is in Time Ago instead of a datetime. It makes it a lot more confusing especially when trying to solve problems with flows in the past as all of them will just show generic "One week ago" and you can not tell which date it was. I often know the exact time I need to find but because the display is in Time Ago I need to go into every single one until I find the required on.     Solution: I think the best solution would be to have an option for date display, Show actual datetime or Show Time Ago which we could switch between.   THis would be huge Quality of Life improvement for me and I think other developers as well. ... Flow provides a feature to perform content approval via Mobile App or Email, however, it cannot update the "Approval status" field back to the list.  This is great if we could have this feature because it will virtually lock the item from updating again, or it will require to be re-approved. ... Hi all,

 

Checking back on this - As explained in my previous post, SharePoint connector has an action called ‘Set content approval status’ action that allows you use set the content approval status on a item or a file. There is no need to use ‘Update list item’ action to update the ‘Approval Status’ column.

Approval Flows: Allow more options than "Approve", "Reject"

I've started using Approval Flows and noticed that there is no option to manually escalate an Approval, only way to do that currently is via time-out.   Also it would be useful to have more than just the "Approve" and "escalate" options i.e. a third could easily be "Escalate" or whatever the Flow requires.   I also looked at the Outlook Office 365 Flow and while that allows you to have more than the "Approve" and "Reject" options, there is no option to add Comments.   So we're left with two unstaisfactory options i.e. use a Flow that allows comments, or use a Flow that has more than the "Approve", "reject" option. ... Hello, As we know in the approval email there is more text than we want. Here the text in the box is not from the users side.Its from the flow only.But if anyone wants to remove this text they cant. You can now disable the built in email and thus send out a fully customized email with any content you want and buttons / links or whatever presination that can take the user to the approval center.
