Looking for a way to organize my flows into different folders. i make flows for different departments in our company and it would make it much easier to work with folders of flows rather than one long list
No, don't do folders, that forces 1 flow to live in 1 place. Allow tags, instead, more powerful concept, allowing multiple metadata.
With the changes this year to pricing and new quotas based on actions, it is clear they want power users, like the people commenting on this thread, to migrate over to Logic apps in Azure. There you can have all the tagging and organizational tools you want, just not for free 😢.
Their recent policy of turning off flows that aren't active for 60 days is further evidence they don't want to make it feasible to manage large numbers of flows in Power Automate.
+1 on tags/labels rather than folders. Folders organize by containment and hinder discoverability.
I honestly can't understand how this isn't already a thing. There's a reason it's built in to almost every table control out there.
Are we there yet? We are in 2021. A long time ago this was requested and it is one of the most needed feature in MS flow.
It's sad that a simple sort/filter on the column headers doesn't exist yet...but it's sadder that no one from Microsoft is managing this forum. It's quickly becoming an idea cemetery.
How do you add tags/labels and sort by them?
@_Ken , if you mean how do you add tags/labels in Power Automate, you don't. At least, not yet. That's what I'm suggesting rather than folders. I have dozen of flows now and need to review/reference them by various criteria (for example, triggers used, department/population used by, test/dev/production, etc.). If MS introduces folders, that won't really help me because I'd need to pick just one folder to put each flow into. Tags/labels are far more useful than being able to put things into just one bucket (folder).
From Microsoft side , could you please update the status ? this has been raised back in 2019 and still sitting as a NEW. Please please this is a really important when having many flows.
