Start conversation automatically without counting session

The current method of customising canvas to start a conversation automatically does not make sense if it attributes wrong counting of sessions and abandonment in analytics. Can't the session count trigger when the user keys in the first query or click on a button? 

This has generated a lot of unnecessary questions with management and also renders the analytics useless.
