Administering PowerApps as a Department

Hi all,

Our organization is fairly new with PowerApps, so any input is greatly appreciated. Currently we have a few PowerApps shared with our company, with myself and another coworker as owners of the apps. Ideally, we'd like to have all PowerApps owned by a group in our organization (IT department), rather than individual users. Is there a way to do this, and is there any additional licensing needed?

Thank you in advance!

Re: Administering PowerApps as a Department

You should create kind of a service account, licensed, hosting all the powerapps as a owner/co-owner to have the ability to administrate and manage the apps from a single point

Re: Administering PowerApps as a Department

@MatthieuMegaly_ is correct.  One of the best practices we suggest for centrally managed environments, apps, flows, etc. is to:

a. create them under a AAD service account and

b. manage the sharing of the asset (either to collaborators or end-users) exclusively through AAD security groups

This makes handling scenarios such as broad distrbituion and new employee onboarding or an employee leaving WAY easier.
