Attach a file to form

I'd like to be able to use a control like the Add Picture button, but for Files of any type.

The control would open up a file picker, I could select the file and then I can upload the same as content from Add Picture.

For example, my current need is to attach a document (doc, ppt, pdf, etc) to an Annotation to a Case in Dynamics 365.

Status: Completed

Thank you,

I too would like to know when this "enhancement" is planned to deploy to PowerApps.  Thanks

Loading files from powerapps to a sharepoint list is a big help...

Something we need to do is upload docs from a power app to Sharepoint then send the info off to another system with the link to the file(s).

Even just uploading them to Sharepoint with metadata from a powerapp form would be great.

What would be awesome is to route the file to a specific sharepoint site based on the metadata Smiley Happy

Am I pushing my luck enough yet? Smiley Wink

Everyone needs this.... powerapps is still to far from an infopath replacement to even consider it

It will get there. It is prgressing rapidly and it has more far reaching connectivity than InfoPath without the complexity. Just like anything it will be worth waiting for.
Check out forms if you haven't already. Still no file attachments but for lightweight forms it is very easy. Plus with flow you can process the responses elsewhere e.g. a SharePoint list, excel file or email. Maybe even a database.

This will be a must have on Power apps, i assume that the "Planned" flag is that this is on development process, a Time dead line will be apreciated.

Would love to see this feature added.  Organisations often have sensitive documents that can't be uploaded to a public website, which means "hyperlinking to a document" - the proposed workaround - just isn't viable.  Current data source options for file storage are very limited, requiring users to maintain two separate files (one as the source of truth, and a PowerApp copy), with some requiring additional authentication when accessing the document hyperlink via the powerapp.

I need this!!! When will this be done?

When can we expect this needed feature - being able to attach a document at its basic and save to a list or library.
However being able to also browse a library and link a document, already in a different library would be good.

Some links to flow also be good that on submit form the attached document could be emailed, or converted to PDF etc.

Along with the fixes for emailing a copy of the form and doucument.
