Cannot see App names in PowerApps Studio when in vertical orientation

Hi,

I have noticed that only the first few letters of the name of an app can be seen when PowerApps studio is open in vertical orientation.

It would be great if we can see a few more letters. Thanks

I am not sure what you mean by in vertical orientation. PowerApps studio should always open in landscape orientation, unless you are referring to the phone app player?

Thank you for your feedback on this point. Improvements to the experience are definitely on our roadmap.

Thank you,

Audrie

Hi @Audrie-MSFT,

Thanks for your comment. We have tablets fixed on walls exclusively used for Powerapps. Since the tablets are mounted vertically to the wall, PowerApps studio opens in a vertical orientation.

As you can see in the screenshot above only the first few letters of the name can be seen. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks,

@Anton If you are mounting your monitor on the wall, it would be best to use the web player browser rather than the Desktop Client. If you use the web browser then you will see a more responsive design when the window is narrowed.

From the browser go to PowerApps.com and sign-in with your business account, or try:

https://web.powerapps.com

Thank you. Please let me know if this works better for you.

@audrieg,

Thanks for your comment. The problem with using the web player is the browser's menu bar and the title bar of powerapps takes a few inches of the screen where screen real-estate is limited. And you can see only a tiny strip of the app when the touchscreen keyboard is open.

I've pinned apps to start menu as a workaround. And it's working for me at the moment.

Thanks
