Dynamics 365, SharePoint Document Management integration with the Portal

Author Name: Donna Edwards

Expose Dynamics 365  / SharePoint Document Management through the Portal.  We would like the ability to add and display documents in the Portal that have been uploaded to Dynamics 365 and saved to SharePoint using SharePoint Document Management in Dynamics 365.

Status: Completed

This feature has been release with October 2018 release. Details can be found here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/portals/manage-sharepoint-documents

A current project and other possible projects have the requirement to have portal users add and upload documents from SharePoint folders. The assumption from the client and potential clients is that  these are Microsoft products and should work together. They find it difficult to understand why they need to buy a third-party tool from Adoxio or have us write custom code.

This is an essential feature, there are very few clients of ours who would not find this useful.

This is a must.  I've demoed this and sold customer on this idea.  Just about all portal clients want the ability to add documents in the portal and this only adds to the value proposition of having Office 365 (SharePoint) with your D365 subscription, so why wouldn't it be included.  We're essentially asking for it stay the same rather than adding anything.

This would be great - this would be critical to our product.  All of our new online customers are asking for this functionality!

I find it weird that this isn't an option already.. we could use this for sure!

Great suggestion, and really needed at the moment.

While this has been implemented, there is no supported way to customise the view that D365 Portals presents of the Sharepoint documents.

One of our clients does not want to display the Modified On column, however there is no way to remove it.
