Generate app using the tablet layout

Currently you can only use the Tablet Layout when creating a blank app.  Can you please include this layout when generating an app from a data source?  I really think this should be a high priority.  The option to switch between layouts would be nice too.

It takes a long time to build an app from scratch, particularly as the gallery control in a blank app does not seem to find fields/columns in the data source (I've updated the Items formula, but it cannot find the columns, despite having used them successfully in the same app generated using Phone Layout).

Status: Planned

This feature idea is actively being discussed and we see the value it will bring.  If as part of it we were to support incrementally adding entities to an existing app with the predefined templating of the current App from Data, would that be useful?

Did you know you can use the app settings to change orientation? Check out this tip:

Thank you for your continued patience and ideas!

Thanks Audrie, I did use the 'change orientation' as a workaround (though I wasn't a fan of having to reposition everything).  Very glad this is the Planning stage.  Thanks again Smiley Very Happy

Do we have an ETA on this.  This will be extremly helpful for us novices when creating these apps.  Please put this in place as soon as possible.

I don't have screen size option for the SharePoint thing.

I just have the orientation aspect

Can you tell me why?

@Anonymous Aspect ratio is only available for tablet formats that is why you don't see it there.

Incredible... This capability is the seriously an important on-ramp to the use of PowerApps..
I was hoping to quickly be able to use PowerApps to manage the CRUD of some config data for a PowerBI project. The Mobile auto app creation is spot on to my needs, but the Mobile version is not applicable in this instance..

While the templates are great, they then go a step too far, connecting to things that I don't want. Trying to create the App from scratch seems like a hell of a lot work (perhaps now better done with a web app).

Microsoft, you have an incredible platform, please make it easier to onboard with.

@Audrie-MSFTI noticed this was "planned" over a year ago any update on release ?

Thanks
