Refreshing Flows

It would be great if there was a 'Refresh' option for Flows.If there is any change in the Flow , it will get reflected automatically.

Right now, one needs to remove the flow and add it again to see the changes. Sometime, I have to go to data sources, remove the flow datasource and then add it again. It would be so much simpler with a 'Refresh' option similar to some data source connections.2018-04-25 16_52_13-Random Movie - Saved (Unpublished) - PowerApps.png

Hi @ThatAPIGuy - you can now click the Flow action in the panel (on the icon or name) and it will refresh the output properties for you to use in your app.

Please let us know how you go.

This is sorely needed to make the development process more efficient. Currently requires removing the flow and readng, very ineffcicient. Anyone reading who uses Flow for SQL Stored Procedures, please vote this up!!

I have exactly the same problem

Hi @CWesener,

Woohoo! Thanks for that update. I'll post any issues ASAP.

Thanks

Super User

Wow! That's great news! Can't wait to try it out.

Thank you @CWesener for the update.

@CWesener

I might be doing something wrong. But my flow doesn't refresh on PowerApps side.

For e.g. : If I had only one PowerApps variable in flow initially and then if I change it two variables, the flow doesn't refresh on PowerApps side.

Can you share a screenshot of how to refresh?

@ThatAPIGuy  are you clicking the flow action when you return to studio?

@CWesener

I tried updating a flow that uses a Response action isntead of Respond to PowerApps as your example above does. The flow called a stored proc that had new columns returned by the resultset.  When I view the run history of the flow, the values are indeed being returned, however, PowerApps does not recognize the new columns.

I think what we are all hoping for is a Refresh option inthe menu as originally selected, available in the actions and inthe view data sources list (where flows are also included) that would COMPLETELY refresh the interface between PowerApps and Flow.

Also, I have several instances where a flow is refenced in an OnSelect() event, but when viewing Actions, PowerApps indicates "No flows associated with the control".

I think I speak for quite a few when I say this is a very ineeficient process and time wasting activity. As part of any development effort, its not common that the flow definition won't change. PLEASE, PLEASE fix this. Unfortunately, I would not consider this item completed. Our only workaround is still to remove the flow and add it back, which involves other undesired side effects.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback @mcolbert. Adding @Stephen from the Flow team to comment.

Thanks for the feedback, we'll definitely take a look at this.
