Sharepoint Site Column [Lookup] available for use in subsite powerapps

Using a sitecolumn with lookup type that references a parent list.

As a team member of the State of Kansas sharepoint team, we are suffering for more functionality with powerapps. We have a list of State Agencies that lives in a Site Collection as a List. In a subsite we create a site column [lookup] that references that list. In sharepoint we are able to use that site column and add it to list in the subsite and it all works seamlessly. When taking our list and trying to use PowerApps to create a form or a distributable app for agencies to use, the app will does not support this functionality. The error that powerapps provides is that "The lookup list is in another web...". As of this morning, the column is no longer available at all in power apps. At least we could submit a partial part of the list in question, unfortunately the informaiton in the site column is critical to useful forms.

This errors for me when creating a powerapp form on a list on lookup field.

With a site column based lookup field, to a list on the parent site, on the item title column (no link to item etc), even without multiselect, I get this error:

Its pretty ridiculous. These devs seem to be skimming the surface of SP functionality and genuinely believe this crap is the greatest thing ever. I honestly don’t think they even know what a site column is. Probably have to write a business use case for them to understand...

Not having site column support is a massive restriction.  How can we use SharePoint efficiently without them?

You cannot even update a site column lookup using the "update file" or "update item" actions in sharepoint, only the remainder of the columns are shown.  This is so stupid.  MICROSOFT GET THIS DONE!

I have exactly same problem. It must be solved by Microsoft but for now i added a new column to child sharepoint list as a text hide it in app then add a new combobox to my powerapp combobox populated from parent sharepoint list and while submit data; app get combobox value for its new field.
