Submit captured image to SharePoint List

I think it would be great to make photos captured in the PowerApp Camera control be submitted to SharePoint List.

Status: Started

We have started working on this, but this is complex as by default SPO lists do not have a concept of images stored in them. This is the top item on our SharePoint connector team and we are actively working on it.

Sadly, don't have a timeline due to the complexity of the problem.

@ChrisTCF Our Android devices work as of now. You need to make sure you update the application on your device. Once we did that, we then saw the Add Photo, Take photo options rather then just the folder option.

any update on when this functionality will be available? The work arounds to save image to a SP record are onerous and annoying.

as far as I know this works fine for a while already....

One common scenario across multiple of our forms is the collection of acknolwdgement signatures from temp workers with no AD login

A Pen input column would make the digitisation of these forms a lot easier

Image Upload from PowerApps to SharePoint:

Wondering, if there is any timeline to enable this functionality out of the box?

In 2019, it is critical for modern apps especially mobile apps handle signature (Pen Input) / Images to have solid integration with at least SharePoint and other data sources.

As far as I know, PowerApps' camera control to SharePoint list can be done through Flow, utilizing dataUriToBinary function.

On the other hand "Image" controls and "Pen Input" control are not easy to handle for SharePoint. i.e. need to create a custom connector, API and swagger file to achieve it.

I would like to upload Pen Input to SharePoint as an image, but no luck. Is there a third party or PowerApps have any connector for this functionality?

Can Flow and PowerApp team, provide an intermediate solution meanwhile working to enable this feature? maybe, Flow template to upload images and connector for PowerApp? instead we have to create and hack the solution.

Any update? Storing images in SharePoint lists is a must-have for many applications with this tool.

@Turtlestein Not sure on an official update. I just decided to upload captured images as attachments to the various list items. Don't know if that helps?

Any updates for this functionality, how can we store image capture from the camera in PowerApps application and save directly to SharePoint list?

I need a good example for expense report application where we can capture receipt image from PowerApps application and direct store into SharePoint list, and display that receipt in PowerApps application with the particular expense record.

If anyone aware of anything regarding this, please give comment.

Please, When this feature will be available?

This very important and it's not logic to upload image from camera only and not upload image from pen input.

Please , need your help

For PenInput you will need to use the JSON function, as PenInput uses Blob
