Submit captured image to SharePoint List

I think it would be great to make photos captured in the PowerApp Camera control be submitted to SharePoint List.

Status: Started

We have started working on this, but this is complex as by default SPO lists do not have a concept of images stored in them. This is the top item on our SharePoint connector team and we are actively working on it.

Sadly, don't have a timeline due to the complexity of the problem.

if you say image, that is just a byte array, binary data same as a file on hard disc.

Hi MarkusR,

I'm actually thinking that any Images that you create through using the camera in PowerApp should appear on the SharePoint List item as an attachment.

I've noticed the powerApps extensions on my Office 365 tenant so I'll give this a go..

Cheers,

James.

Con Onedrive no se puede compartir aplicaciones Powerapps. Los adjuntos son locales y PowerApps no es capaz de ver.

With Onedrive you can not share Powerapps applications. The attachments are local and PowerApps is not able to see.

This is a make or break feature for the platform.

We need this URGENTLY to deploy three powerapps that are almost ready to launch in our company.

Hi, it may have been solved before, but please see here on how to save images to a SharePoint list:

i still expect the capabilities to save binary data and Meneghino special workaround is better than nothing.

Without this feature PowerApps may not succeed in sharepoint context as other things /capabilites are already availble (using sharepoint app) but barcode scanner or uploading photos using device camera is

must.

I work for Retail client and this functionality where users wants to collect data /feedback using their devices wand wants to add to Sharepoint list for real time analysis will be a great hit. Already there are some thrid party apps which are used for this but if powerApps supports this ..it will be a big success and game changer.

Yep totally agree - I would like to use the add picture feature or the create drawing (where you could draw directly on the app) and then store that in a list.
