We use PowerApps for a lot of forms and we want to stay close to the default date picker for obvious reasons. It is already possible to select the month / year part of the default date picker = However almost all of our users do not see / realize this so they think that they have to use the monthly-jump-arrows to go back for years (a lot of clicks). This idea is to emphasize the already implemented functionality in a way that this is intuitively clear. Example with dropdowns = but if specialized UX-ers have better ideas than dropdowns please do! 🙏🏻

Please add an parameter to the datepicker where you can select the output you get when using de datepicker.selected date in a formula. Output options should be minimal: datetime (this is current output) date (local format) date (universal format, as in "yyyy-mm-dd". Which is great to use in a where clause) datetimevalue (18 may 2018 = 1526594400000) datevalue (18 may 2018 = 43238 (date as value in Excel)) custom format (like in the Text(string, "dd-mm-yyyy") formula This could make the datepicker far more flexible and usefull for filtering. To be ahead off things. Yes I know you can format the date coming from the control with the value() or Text(string, format) functions. But the big problem here is issues with delegation to datasource, so only local max 2000 records are evaluated.
