Approval before email sent to distribution group



Staff at the environment where I work have requested an automation to their 'all staff' email distribution group.


They want a process put in place where an approval is put in place before their email can be 'released' to all staff.


Is there an easy way of doing this, as I cannot see that this is possible at the moment?

You need to have a place to store the request for approval, then update the approval received. This could be an Excel file, a SharePoint list, a ToDo list, a database, ... whatever you have access to. Use 2 flows to populate and monitor the approval process.

Flow 1

  1. Write a record of the request.
  2. Send an email to the approval list with an option response or a request to indicate their approval in another way that you can capture in Flow 2. 

Flow 2

  1. When the approval is received, send the email to a wider distribution.
