Ideas for creating an Employee Training Site

Hi everyone.

I am a beginner Power Platform user.

I have built a Company Training SharePoint page, which links to many courses.  I am creating Quizzes using Forms, and I have a SP list for Tracking the Employee trainings.  

What I want to do is create ways to link everything together automatically.

Best way to allow employees access to the training and final quiz,

then record that activity and results in a log and maybe print a certificate for them(?)

We would like to be able to go to a source (it used to be an Excel sheet called Training Matrix, which has all the trainings across the top, and the employees down the left side, and a colored box for their trainings completed) to see the employees and their trainings.

Any ideas?  Anyone already done something like this and can share stuff?  I am open to all suggestions.

I have an example of a certificate being created here 

I would recommend you consider a list for storing the results. You can then create bespoke filters so that you can view results for a particular group or training course based on the data you capture. 

You can embed ms forms in SharePoint pages using web parts so you could use that to direct staff? Maybe even consider a non teams site like a comms site so that users have read access and therefore no access or need for chat.

That sounds very promising.  Do you have a recipe I can follow to build this?  I am not confident in my skills.  Functions etc., always get me in trouble as I don't "speak the language".

My steps:

1.  Create a quiz in Microsoft Forms

2.  Create a SharePoint list to log employee training with columns: Title (Course Name), Name, Date, Rating, Pass?

3.  Download a template from Word, save in OneDrive as Certificate Template.

3. Should be save in SharePoint. You create columns in SharePoint and the template file needs to be there to inherit the new columns.

For the file you have screenshot, either edit in browser and save a copy or download and then edit from your desktop, you can then drag onto the browser into your document library.

good effort on getting that far. So we can see the word document has your metadata columns, you’re looking for the dynamic data from the form?

You’re missing an all important get response details action, usually added after the when a response is submitted trigger. You’ll see it in the video but guess you’ve missed it. Once added, you’ll be able to grab those dynamic fields you’re looking for.
