Problem in adding pictures and repeating table - Creating word do dynamically using share point connector -

Hey All,

Thanks for this great community, you're awesome and this is why I believe I'll find the answer here...

Because the company I work with has an enterprise plan without supporting premium connectors, I cannot use Words premium connector and had to find workaround by using SharePoint connector.

However, an important part is to enter dynamic picture and entering table structured data from SharePoint with changing number of rows,
Can anyone help me with this??

Thanks in advance!!

Hi @ShaharGR

This might give you some inspiration.  I haven't tried it with images but you can populate a word template using column metadata and quick parts.

Thank you,

I've looked into it, still having problem to pass the picture. I'll get the answer eventually and then will close this ticket.

Maybe you have an idea how to add to the document a table that will contain several items from SharePoint list. (For each case I got several defects but I don't know how..),
BTW, great blog! You're awesome!

Hi @ShaharGR

Had to do a bit of thinking and research about this one and discovered that you need to convert an image into a dataURI.  This can be done with an expression.

DamoBird365_0-1617348106179.png

I have saved a microsoft.png image to my one drive, converted the image to datauri and then within my html called <img src=like so:

DamoBird365_1-1617348170446.png

You can then create an html file, convert the file and then create a copy of the output from the convert.

DamoBird365_2-1617348201296.png

and this is what I got:

WOW, amazing. I'll will have to try it out,

But, how can I enter a picture like you did it to a variable populated document in a certain position? (like the picture I've added in the first message) - It needs to be in certain position on the report and related to certain subject,

Thanks again

Cheers 🍻

Hi @ShaharGR

That's the freebie HTML method and I have experimented with html to pdf with mixed results.  The OneDrive convert file action seems to have a mind of its own.  It's something I want to explore but I haven't had a chance.  Have you tried converting HTML to PDF yet?

Regarding logic for your different images, just use a condition, if your variable equals 1 or 2 or 3 etc, use the different images.  You'll have to give this a go yourself as I don't have a working example but I am keen to hear how you get on as I would like to explore this one further.

The other option, as before is the Excel template and presumably there is a way to do something similar, but you need to learn typescript and the excel script action is limited to 200 runs per day at the present time.  I love trying to do this paid for stuff, for free.

OK, I'll try to do it myself.

@ShaharGR believe I might have found a way. Would you be kind enough to post a word document that is exactly the format you would like, with the pictures included (by that I mean make the file by hand - and then I will see if the process can be automated). If it works I will probably produce a video on it as many people have this requirement.
