Make your Power Virtual Agents bot start the conversation using a custom canvas blog: https://powervirtualagents.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/make-your-power-virtual-agents-bot-start-the-con...
Thanks for this, we are in the middle of implementing this on a client site.
We've found that our bot can take up to 10 seconds to respond (tracked using the performance analyzer in Chrome) - meaning the bot apparently hangs for the user. This is intermittent and can range from 0 - 10 seconds - it doesn't seem to relate to the bot waking up for the first time or anything like that.
We've implemented a work around to show a loading message, but wondered if anyone else has seen this and is there a way to crank up the performance ?
@dougmaloney - Your bot should not take 10 seconds to respond. Can you please share your bot ID so that we can investigate?
@Diganta great - thanks
Or you can see the live chatbot at https://mlc.org.au
It uses a custom canvas but the performance inspector tells me this is not causing the problem.
I get the following error when I open the code in edge, and the website provided in the article. My bot is published. Here is my file as well
Hello Sir,
Bot isn't initiating the conversation, I followed all customization steps mentioned in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-virtual-agents/customize-default-canvas. What I am missing out can you suggest plz ?
@Diganta
I followed the steps on: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-virtual-agents/configure-bot-greeting and I can open a html page and the bot works, but not on webpage where I deployed my bot. How can I make it work there?
Thank you for your time.

@Mehvish - Can you try the code from the doc with your Bot ID here w3schools.com HTML try it editor?
