I created a basic flow that would send an approval email when a new item is added to my custom list in sharepoint.
But although I tried to create several list I keep getting an error when I press the approve or reject button in the email.
In outlook online i get "The action could not be completed."
If I click the link in Outlook 2017 I get
{ "statusCode": 500, "message": "Internal server error", "activityId": "896cb46c-13ee-43e7-a4e1-fc4bd67aed15" }
Does anyone know why this is happening ?
I'm also facing this issue.. please we need help..
Maybe our usage exceeds the limits... Check out the link below..

Hi Aribo,
I am using Outlook 2016, I created the flow to send approval email to this email address, both on Windows and Online, I can complete the action without error.
Do you have another email address? Could you try to change the email address to see if you could complete the action?
Best regards,
Mabel Mao

You can use internet Explorer to get "The requested action could not be completed" error
Hi @Harith_S,
Thanks for your detailed information.
I am using Flow Plan2, but I am not able to reproduce this issue on my side.
Which Flow Plan are you using?
I am not sure if this is an issue related to usage limits, I am going to confirm this issue from my side.
I will back once I got any updates. Thanks for your understanding and patience.
Best regards,
Mabel Mao

Hi @Harith_S,
We are not able to reproduce this issue on our side.
Could you send us details of your email address? You could send it to my email at v-yamao@microsoft.com.
Please also provide your Flow ID for a further investigation. Please open the Flow for editing and add a screenshot here and the URL displayed in your browser for that Flow.
Best regards,
Mabel Mao

Im facing the same problem in my environment and im not even using the free version.
Hi Guys,
My flow has been working fine up to today too unfortunately.
when clicking either approve / reject from the email I get
{ "statusCode": 500, "message": "Internal server error", "activityId":
This error is displayed through Chrome but through IE it opens the 'view Downloads' info box and asks me if I want to save the file?
the file size is 5.40KB but does nothing if you do try to save it.
any one else with this issue?
cheers
Lee
Hi All,
This is an issue happening in non-US environment. And it is due to recent policy change.
It seems that it has been fixed so the Send approval email action should now work as before.
Could you please try it on your side and let me know if it works now.
Best regards,
Mabel Mao
