Saving file to a folder in only my onedrive account

Hi.

i'm new here and also pretty new to powerplatform. I really enjoy workin with it.

i've created a powerapp that create selfies and then I use a flow to upload them to a central onedrive folder:

CaptureFlow.JPG

1. Works fine for me, but as soon as other user use the app, the picture gets added to their personal onedrive storage. I want the pictures to end up in mine.

2. Already some pictures have been made. Now, when i solve the issue above, can i re-run the flow to post them to my ondrive account?

Thanks for the help!

That is the way PowerApps works.  Each user runs the App in their own context and the connectors adapt to that context.  This is also true of Flows that are started by PowerApps buttons.  The only workaround I am aware of is to have a Flow started by the button that starts another flow using the HTTP action. That second flow will run in the context of the maker instead of the PowerApps user.

Thanks for your reply.

so i'd have to do something like this: https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/call-flow-restapi/

and how can i re-run the other flow instances so the images end up in my onedrive folder?

Hans

Yes, I believe that will give you the permissioning model you want.  In terms of your other questions I don't think there is any way to re-run those Flows and recover the old pictures.

Thanks. I opened the flows and got the payload out of the input messages. That is where the Base64 image is.. The interface is a bit clunky for this but i got what i want. thanks!
