I am unable to get the orderby function to work when I make an HTTP GET request of Planner. $select seems to work but $orderby doesn't seem to. Picture below shows me trying to test it in Graph Explorer but result appears to be same in the code. I was unable to change the order of the responses (first 4 included) no matter what I chose to orderby. I also was not able to get $top to work. Permissions issue? Feature not yet available?
I know there are other ways to do this but I was curious if anyone else was able to get this to work? I'm trying to migrate towards API and bulk actions so instead of using the GUI to get the tasks then filter by bucket then order them I was trying to perform it all in one API step.
Try adding orderBy=orderHint to your query

Looks like this feature is not available yet. You could push the details into an Excel script or use a custom connector to do the sorting.
