Creating List item from List

Hi,

I have created a flow to add a new item to an FAQ list (List B) when a cheeckbox called 'AddToFAQ' is set to True in list A.

The Flow Succeeds and the condition of @equals(triggerBody()?['AddToFAQ'], 'true') is met but it wont create the new list item in list B

The corresponding fields that are being created are of the same type

List A Title maps to List B Question - both fields are single line of text, 255 max chars

List A Resolution maps to List B Answer - both fields are multiple lines of text, 6 lines for editing, enhanced rich text

The error received is as follows

  • Code
    ActionBranchingConditionNotSatisfied
  • Message
The execution of template action 'Create_item' skipped: the branching condition for this action is not satisfied.

Thanks in advance for any help

Neil

Hi @neilshep,

I tested your scenario conditional filter Yes/No list field type. I did tested with single quotes 'true' , true, '1', 1 and finally If condition starts with 't'. All failed 😞  There is a limitaion for updating certain list fields such as Yes/No, Choice, etc. Didn't know about the filter condition. You can post this in the idea fourm to update this in the next release.

Thanks

Thanks very much @abm for taking the time to test this,

When you say "There is a limitaion for updating certain list fields such as Yes/No, Choice, etc", are you trying to update a yes/no field? I am trying to use the Yes/No field on List B to trigger the creation of an item with 2 text fields on list A with identical text fields on List B.

Thanks

Neil

Hi @neilshep,

SharePoint list item for choice, yes/no field types are not supported yet from Flow. Hoping this will be added soon from the MS Flow team. I only found earlier that filter condition for Yes/No doesn't work as well.

Thanks

Hi @abm

Just to let you know I have worked around it by using a freetext yes/no field. It's only a couple of us who will be using it so shouldnt cause too many dramas!

Thanks again
