FTP To dropbox 409 File '/_.../test.txt' already exists.

I'm using the FTP to Dropbox template. I've connected successfully to the two services, but when I run a test and then update a file on the FTP server I get a 409 error.

"status": 409,
"message": "File '/_.../test.txt' already exists. Use the Update operation to update an existing file.\r\n inner exception: Exception of type 'Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.Dropbox.DropboxAdapterException' was thrown.\r\nclientRequestId: ...",
"source": "dropbox-ncus.azconn-ncus.p.azurewebsites.net"
It says there is a conflict. Is this template not able to update or overwrite a file in Dropbox that already exists? Any ideas for a workaround?

Hi @AlexAlex,

I have tested on my side, the feature of Overwrite for Copy file action has no the same issue.

Some of the actions in the templates are an old version, you could have a try to delete the action then recreate it, it should be solved.

If you still have the same issue, please show more about your Flow configuration.

Hi @v-litu-msft  Thank you for getting back to me. I'm new to Flow so I'm not sure how to do this. Is this correct? http://prntscr.com/p7u0ts

What I want is when any file is added or modified in my ftp (and subfolders) to by copied/updated in my dropbox. Will the above acomplish that?

Hi @v-litu-msft I tried the above flow and I get an error now.

"status": 404,
"message": "The specified file or folder 'test.txt' does not exist.\r\n inner exception: Exception of type 'Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.Dropbox.DropboxAdapterException' was thrown.\r\nclientRequestId: ...",
"source": "dropbox-ncus.azconn-ncus.p.azurewebsites.net"

Hi @AlexAlex,

The Source URL of Copy file action is not Filename, you can refer to this post to learn how to get the URL of a file in chroot.

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46417961/how-to-get-http-url-of-file-uploaded-to-ftp-server

If you get URL, then put it into the Source URL blank.

Hi @v-litu-msft Hmm.. still getting an error.  The source url should just be /

When I put in the root as the source I get the following error

{
"status": 400,
"message": "Error in call to API function \"files/get_metadata\": request body: path: The root folder is unsupported.\r\n inner exception: Exception of type 'Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.Dropbox.DropboxAdapterException' was thrown.\r\nclientRequestId: ...",
"source": "dropbox-ncus.azconn-ncus.p.azurewebsites.net"
}
