Flow Button generates inconsistent date (UTC) vs timestamp (local time)

I'm trying to use some of the parameters from the Flow Button, but I've noticed that the datetime values it generates are inconsistent:

key-button-timestamp shows me current timezone time

key-button-date shows me UTC date.

Is this behavior intentional?

Re: Flow Button generates inconsistent date (UTC) vs timestamp (local time)

Hi @michowl,

The behavior you observed is by design. The initial idea was to have the date in UTC to get a unifor representation. However, we are now considering changing that to avoid cunfusion.

Thanks for your input,

Hi Michowl,

We have successfully reproduced this issue. I have submitted this to the product team. They will have a look into this.

Re: Flow Button generates inconsistent date (UTC) vs timestamp (local time)

I'm also unable to extract the timezone information from the timestamp, even though it's local time.

formatDate(triggerBody()['timestamp'],'zzzzzz') returns +00:00 when it should be -08:00

Re: Flow Button generates inconsistent date (UTC) vs timestamp (local time)

I'm also having the same issue.

My Flow works this way:

1. Trigger from button

2. Get timestamp and inset timestamp into Excel row

Inputs: 2017-04-19T13:57:07+10:00

Output: 2017-04-19T03:57:07Z

The correct time should be the input value (13:57)
