Flow issue

Hallo,

 

when i am using the functions split, substring, index of i always get the error "The template language function 'split' expects its first parameter to be of type string. The provided value is of type 'Array'." can anybody help please ?

Hi @IbrahimKhalil1,

 

You could put the Email body into the HTML to text action directly, there is no need to create an Apply to each action, for example:

Hi @IbrahimKhalil1 ,

If you have an array as an initialized variable, then for the function that requires a string like substring etc, you should get the array item

substring(item(),0,3).
If this is not your case, it would be better if you add the screenshots of your own flow.

actually my fow is nicht complex, i want to take the body of an email and insert it to an excel file, actually i want to take several things from the emails and add them to an excel file, below is the screen shot:
