Flow of Onedrive save it as PDF file

Hi

There is a word file that has been save on Onedrive.

We used the Flow of Onedrive by clicking the …and save it as PDF file.

However the date has been changed on PDF file.

We tried to change the time setting for Onedrive, however error happened as below when we change the local to Japan.

Please disable all indexed columns before changing the collation for this site. Currently, one or more lists or libraries "documents" contain the column "file type" configured for indexing. This column can be re-indexed after site collation changes.

Is there any way to fix this?

Re: Flow of Onedrive save it as PDF file

Hey @Tiffany-Jo

This actually is an issue with flow and not OneDrive. Even if you change the time zone settings in your onedrive, it will not work and you will still see the same time issue as the action to create the converted PDF file in the flow uses the utc now function to get the time in utc and appends it to the file name. To resolve this, you can follow the steps:

For a sample file click on the convert to pdf and then run it from the onedrive. Click on check the flow run history and come to the flow run history: ffe1.PNG

Now, edit the flow and go the last action where you have the create file action. make the following changes and it should resolve the issue. ffe2.PNG

add the convert time action to get the current time according to your time zone. Finally in the create file action, replace the expression for filename with:

concat(substring(body('Get_file_metadata_using_path')['Name'], 0, lastIndexOf(body('Get_file_metadata_using_path')['Name'], '.')), '_', formatDateTime(body('Convert_time_zone'), 'yyyy-MM-dd_H-mm'),'.pdf')

Hope this Helps!

Re: Flow of Onedrive save it as PDF file

hi @yashag2255 Thank you very much.

The approval date which was written in the word document is as same as the approval date added to word property since this Word file was created by other Flow.

so we also need to verify the other Flow time zone date?

Re: Flow of Onedrive save it as PDF file

Hey @Tiffany-Jo

So if there is another flow that you are using to write to the word file, you need to check the expression being used for the date. I(f you use utcnow() this will return the date and time as per current UTC and you can change that using the change time zone action as shown in the screenshot of my previous response.

Hope this Helps!
