Flow triggered from PowerApp always fires multiple times

Hi,

I am currently building a flow that gets triggered per button from a PowerApp. However, upon triggering the flow from the App (it is actually a sequence of flows, each writing to a context-variable upon return, thus providing input for the next one), one of those flows always gets run 4 times, in 2 minute intervals (which from what I understand is the amount of time the App will wait for a response, so there is probably a connection here).

Now, this particular flow is very, very, very slow and even with only a handful of rows of data easily exceeds the amount of time a PowerApp will wait for a response from the flow. The flow not being able to respond to the app is inconvenient but not fatal, it performs the work it is supposed to either way. The trouble is that it does the work four times, resulting in a giant and frankly unusable mess of quadrupled items.

My question thus is: why does this happen and how do I prevent it?

Best regards,

JP

Hi @manuelstgomes

The PowerAutomate flow is very large, I don't think I can really share it in any meaningful way, without sending 20 screenshots your way. I have however found a "fix" in the meantime. Setting the Concurrency Control of the trigger to 1 prevents the additional runs from happening.

The fact that only one instance of the flow can run at a given time is not really a big deal, as it is only used by a handful of users in very specific situations.

Cheers,

JP

Hi @JPMontoya

I have to look at the Power Automate to understand what's happening.

Can you please share the Power Automate and obfuscate anything private that you can't share so that I can have a better understanding of what you're trying to do and the issues.

If I have answered your question, please mark your post as Solved.
If you like my response, please give it a Thumbs Up.
