Flows turning off during solution import

I have flows inside a solution to make it easier for deploy update to client environments

We have pipelines to deploy updated solution (managed) to environment

I find that these imports will turn off the flows

what's the best practice for this scenario? should I be saving a copy of the flow into the environment instead of running it from inside deployed solution? or any way to stop them from turning off?

Hey Ravz,

Any time you import a flow into another environment via a solution you will need to go to that new environment and re-establish connections. The only connector that doesn't need to be re-established would be the CDS (current environment) connector. This is the challenge with importing flows via a managed solution at this time as there is no way to go in to re-establish the connections if the component is managed. I'm hoping that Microsoft will eventually fix this but for the time being I will usually put flows into a separate unmanaged solution or you can export individual flows via the Power Automate platform and then import them individually into the new environment. Hope this helps. Thanks!

OK, thanks for confirming

The best practice that I've come up with is to hold the flows in solutions for deployment purposes but treat them as templates, so after deploying I `Save As` to configure and store into the local environment where it will not be touched during future managed solution updates
