Good morning (Or evening)
I have a MS form which is annual leave form so it has a from date and a to date.
the automate takes this information and creates a list item. the list has 2 columns both text columns not date column's.
When the SharePoint create item runs it takes a date 01-01-2021 and puts it in the list as 2021-01-01.
I have tried various ways to change the format i have tried various ways from the internet but so far been unsuccessful. This could be down to my complete newbie to power automate and SharePoint or I was always thinking there was something missing in the instructions
Below is the create item which is fine and everything is populated into the list
But the date reverses
So the approval date and emails or all items that reference the date from the list are the wrong way around
So i have tried the compose and failed miserably
and the Convert same outcome
Now imagine you are teaching and idiot (which you are) any suggestions?

I believe that you need to change the regional settings on your SharePoint site - this is not a Flow issue. SharePoint stores all dates the same way and how they are displayed is controlled by the regional settings.
I did check that as that was a suggestion else where, but low and behold under settings there is no information link. Anywhere else i can find the regional for this site?
It appears as though you don't have site admin (site owner or SCA) permissions. If you had permissions, you would see the following:
If this is a Communications site, the last screen shot will look a little different but you will still click on Regional settings under Site Administration.
Waiting for my manager to check this which hopefully will be Monday (Sunning himself today) lets hope its just regional settings then I can complete this one
thanks for your help so far
to add change regional settings to UK to display
dd/mm/yyyy
The region is set correctly
Region is set to UTC UK which is where we are
thats odd.

The column is a single line text column not a date column.
The column is populated by a flow
Which creates an item populated from a form.
The form field is a date field.
Changed it back to a date column and now it is working. Had issues with the correct details being carried across previously that's why i chose a single line text instead of a date
