Generating Unique ID to relate a email request with a response

Hello,

 

I have create two flows 1) To send an approval email with actionalble outlook messages 2) To send a resonse to the actionalble message sent from the first flow. 

 

They work fine but the problem i have is, anyone with the approval email can submit a response. So i am trying to generate a unique id when an email is sent out and update a custom record with that unique id and when i receive a response i will validate the id and process the request only if i find a valid id. However i am unsure how do i generate a unique id within flow? 

 

This is a my Approval Email Flow:

This is how my Actionable message looks like:

Clicking OK is when the second flow is triggered. 

 

Any suggestion how i could generate a unique id within flow which i am looking to include as a parameter when the form on the actionalable message is submitted before the compose actional in the first flow? Thanks in advance.

Hi @Nithin_Vanam , yes, you may assume GUID() returns a unique GUID.

Off course in theory it does not have to be unique...

Hi, I think you're looking for the GUID() function.

If you apply no parameter, a new GUID will be generated.

Hi @Maurits , does the guide() always generate a unique id?
