How can i filter?

I am creating a Flow that sends an email when a new item is added to a SharePoint list, i only want to send the email however if a specific value is in one of the columns within the sharepoint list item.  I have configured the step as the image below but it sends the email whenever any item is created irrespective of my filter.

My SharePoint list is called Accidents.  It has a choice column in it called Description.  The choices available are:

Minor Accident

Major Accident

Serious Accident

I want to send the email only when the value selected is Serious Accident.  As well as the below Filter i have also tried:

Filter( Accidents, Description = "Serious Accident")

but this did not work either.  Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Re: How can i filter?

In theory you'd type in something like "Description eq 'Serious Accident'". Some good articles for sharepoint odata syntax here ( and here (

However, I personally couldn't get this to work. @SameerCh, any idea if these query strings actually make it through to the sharepoint endpoint?

I couldn't make filters work on Office 365 Calendar Get Events, filter examples I tried are posted at

Then I found a post on powerapps forum detailing similar filter problems with Sharepoint Get Items. According to response given last 25-april, "filter functionality has not been implemented yet. It's in the plan to support filter query. We don't have a timeline right now." No feedback since then. This second post can be found at:
