Is there a way to parse HTML table output?

So the fields can be used in the POST API call?

@Anonymous

There are several posts covering this topic, suggesting different approaches either with external connectors or with built-in functionalities, for example:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/How-to-parse-email-body-as-a-condition-in-MS-flow/td-p/169029

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Flow-Discussion/Using-a-flow-to-extract-email-body-details/td-p/149186

Please also note some improvements are expected on Flow roadmap next month

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/business-applications-release-notes/April19/microsoft-flow/extract-structured-data-emails-html-pdf

Hope this helps

Hi @efialttes ,

Thank you for the reference. Do you have references on having the headers from HTML table parsed and use the parsed items to the POST API call? Thanks.

@Anonymous

This was the situation last summer

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Extract-elements-from-HTML-table-from-email/td-p/176476

Some users use "HTML to Text" action block + WDL expressions as a workaround, as you will see in some of the posts I shared in my initial response.

Hope this helps

Hi @Anonymous ,

Here is a case of how to use the outputs in the 'Parse JSON' action.

Please take a reference, hope it will help you.

So yeah, there are several answers, but there aren't any good ones. Parsing text has to be the worst possible way of going about this. There should be a built in plugin to get values from HTML objects. Is PowerApps destined to be one giant hack? Hopefully Microsoft will fix this soon.
