changes made to the flow in Development environment are not applying in Test when we do a solution export from Dev to Test

This started happening since yesterday: (26th March 2020)

  • we made a change to a Flow (e.g. an update to a field in a Current CDS Connector) in Dev
  • Flow is part of a solution
  • Exported Solution from Development to Test environment successfully
  • Changes to the flow were not applied in Test

Microsoft Support confirmed that it's a known issue which should be fixed in an upcoming update (no ETA yet)

for now, the workaround is (quoting Microsoft Support) "As per dev team, it was noticed that if the source flow was turned off, and the solution is exported from source (e.g. Dev environment) and imported to Target (e.g. Test environment) the flow definition update is applied."

Hi @artofdynamics

Couple of things you can do.

1. Do another Import / Export.

2.  Take a backup of Test flow. Remove the Test instance flow.

3.  Import from dev to test

4.  Also make sure if you have added new field in CDS,  then add the new field in your solution and publish the changes.

Thanks

Tried it but it didn’t work

Logged the issue with Microsoft Support, did a screen share session and was able to reproduce the issue (today)
Now waiting to hear back from them

Will post an update once I get something from them
