"Create a card" in Trello failing: "Invalid objectId"

I have tried a bunch of flows including an action to "Create a card" in Trello. They have uniformly failed, each citing an "Invalid objectId" in the "Failure summary" offered by Flow.

I've tried the action as the second action in a flow, in a flow on its own, and using various dynamic elements of the triggering event as well as with no dynamic elements at all, just with a static text string as the card title.

All variations seem to have failed in the same way.

How do I get this to succeed?

Re: "Create a card" in Trello failing: "Invalid objectId"

Hi @Starhawk,

Could you please show a bit more about the configuration of your "Create a card" action?

Do you fill the dynamic content from the trigger within Board Id field and Parent List Id field of "Create a card" action?

I suppose that you have filled the dynamic content from the trigger within Board Id field and Parent List Id field of "Create a card" action, is it true?

The issue is confirmed on my side when I type the text string as a custom value within Board Id field and Parent List Id field, even though, the Board Id name and the Parent List Id name are both existed in my Trello.

Actually, the "Create a card" action search for the corresponding Board and the Parent Lists within that Board using a series of string which likes a GUID, such as, the '59ed4de0effc7115f87234d7' represents the Board and the '59ed4dfbd6d206f46ca2c712' represents the Parent List. The "Create a card" action UI just translate the string (the '59ed4de0effc7115f87234d7' and '59ed4dfbd6d206f46ca2c712') into a friendly name which could be chosen from the drop down of Board Id field and Parent List Id field of "Create a card" action.

So if I type the above string (the '59ed4de0effc7115f87234d7' and the '59ed4dfbd6d206f46ca2c712') which likes a GUID within Board Id field and Parent List Id field of "Create a card" action, the flow would run successfully. The flow's configuration as below:13.JPG

The flow works successfully as below:14.JPG

Best regards,

Kris
