Text Input Values repeat them selves in Gallery

I have a child gallery that has check boxes and text input fields.

The user is meant to check the box and has the option to add description.

The gallery's data source is from a collection and when the user is done checking boxes and adding description, a button is pressed sending the collections values to a different data source in a database.

Then the gallery and its collection is then reset so more can be added.

However, whenever the user goes on to check other boxes, it automatically enters the same value into their respective description boxes.

Any idea on how I can stop the description from being filled?

Re: Text Input Values repeat them selves in Gallery

Hey Patrick, I'm not sure if you've solved your problem yet, but I think i found a solution.  I'm still very new to PowerApps..

Basically.. create a column in the datasource for your Gallery where you can store the inputted text.

Call the appropriate Patch command on a submit buttons OnSelect, or the textbox's OnChange property.

Set the Default property of the Gallery's textbox to be the stored inputted value.  (you'll need to use the appropriate First(Filter(... to get the desired value of course.

I use the Collect function and AddColumns when my app opens, so I don't actually have a column in my original datasource, but I bind my Gallery to this created Collection.  I haven't tackled saving the values yet, but if you have your Gallery updating your data table directly, it will be permanent I imagine.  Hope this was helpful!
