checkboxes

I want to add a Marketing Preferences check box to a Powerapp and for it to update to a SharePoint list. However when I create a data column in SharePoint as a Boolean value I only get a radio button or toggle button in Powerapps as options.

checkbox.pngemailallowed.pngOnly gives an option as a toggle and not a checkboxcheckboxx.pngThis is how I want it to appear but cant seem to link this back to SharePoint list

Re: checkboxes

Hi @Lsweeney,

Thanks for the feedback.

Boolean Value combined to radio control should be the default behavior.

We could customize the 'EmailAllowed' DataCard, and switch the Radio control to CheckBox control within the Form.

Please follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the EditScreen, select the Radio control, then under Advanced tab in Right pane, click Unlock,

2. Make a notice of the Name of the Radio control (mostly should be named as DataCardValueXX), then delete it,

3. Select the 'EmailAllowed' DataCard, then click Insert->Controls->CheckBox, add a CheckBox control into the 'EmailAllowed' DataCard,

4. Change the Default property of the CheckBox from false to Parent.Default, under the left pane, click Tree View, find the CheckBox control, then right click to rename it with DataCardValueXX (name of the previous Radio control),

5.Click save.

Re: checkboxes

Maybe you can do it with forms, I don't know as I don't use them.

However, you can certainly do it with your own form.

Re: checkboxes

When I try this, the checkbox appears, but will not save a value. Is there another field that needs to be changed?
