my PowerApps visitor registration app uses the standard CDS Contact as datasource.

my PowerApps visitor registration app uses the standard CDS Contact as datasource. Before i loaded the actual 9000+ contacts into the CDS, i was able to use the app just fine, EDITING existing , ADDING new Records to CONTACT CDS. However, when i loaded the production records into CDS, i can still EDITFORM and SUBMITFORM for revisions done to any of the 9000+ records. Now here is where i am encountering issues. I Cannot ADD anymore NEW Records, whenever i SUBMITFORM to this CDS Contact datasource, it will give me this error "The Requested Operation is Invalid. Server Response: Write failed for table row of type 'RTSContact'. Infolog: Error: Cannot create a record in RTSContactTable' (@Foundation:Contact). The record already exists.." But when i check the Data for the CDS Contact, the record cannot be found ... S.O.S. please help me...

Hi @JenVitug,

My understanding of your issue is that your app cannot add new record anymore after you import some records into CDS contact entity. But you still can edit these exsiting records. If my understanding is incorrect, please feel free to tell.

Have you added any custom field in standard contact entity?

Mona

Re: my PowerApps visitor registration app uses the standard CDS Contact as datasource.

@v-monli-msft,  after some research, i  found that the issue was with the indexing of the primary key.  the primary key was incrementing at 300+  while my manually added rows into the CDS, have the same assigned PK .   I changed the PK for the 9000 rows i manually added , added 10000 to the PK so that the Powerapps assigned PK will not clash/duplicate with those records i manually added/loaded.
