Hello everyone,
In this Microsoft Power Platform video, we will explore building approval flows than span beyond the 30 day flow run duration limit.
Scenario is a Contracts Management approval workflow wherein the approval flow begins from Department review and then moves to Legal review for final approval.
We will create both a multi-step and a state machine approval workflow that can run beyond 30 days.
Topics covered:
✔️ Long running approval flows pattern
✔️ Multi-step approval workflow pattern
✔️ State Machine workflow pattern

Hello @RezaDorrani ,
I am building a Approval workflows that goes beyond 30days. I have followed your video (exactly as it is) which has 2 cases - Case 1: Pending And case 2: Need for information. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6Eb-F0P6Hs
Problem: When the Approver asks for more info (Status changes to Needs more info) , the case 2 gets triggered. In my case, the document has to be check out (do the changes) and check in again. In this process , the the document creator gets 2 emails (case 2) for submission, which gets my workflow to inconsistency.
I am also trying to get the check in comments when the Resubmission takes place.
How do I workaround this :
1. When status changes to Needs more info: The file has to be checked out , and checked in with the changes made (comments)
2. After this the resubmission approval action should trigger.
Kindly guide if there is anything new come up from the time you posted the video.
