Hello everyone,
This video is a step-by-step tutorial on how to create Cascading Dropdown / Combo box controls in Power Apps using SharePoint list as a data source. We will utilize the PowerApps cascading dropdown experience inside a Form Control & also look at how to Patch the cascading information to a SharePoint list. We will build the PowerApps dependent dropdown experience from scratch.
Cascading dropdowns are sets of controls where the values of a dropdown depend upon another dropdown selection.
Common use case: Country ↔️ State ↔️ City
Video covers the following:
✅ Build Cascading/Dependent Dropdowns
✅ Patch cascading information to SharePoint
✅ Cascading inside a Form Control

Hi Reza,
I have been working on an app using your guide for cascading dropdown controls. I can get the dropdowns to work no problem following your video (awesome content!) but my app is not accepting the update function of the data cards. I can get values when i use the selected but as soon as i put in .result it gives me the error. I am not sure what is going on here and would much appreciate your help.
Another issue is the dropdown boxes will not take the default property of parent.default.
This video was so easy to follow and i thought everything was going great until i got these two errors.
