Count Filtered Table Rows from Selected Gallery

When an event is selected, a list of people who have registered for the event is displayed. An admin will approve or reject the person's request to attend the event. What I'm struggling with is adding a field that counts the number of approved members.

Here is the App:

Event Gallery Name: SelectEventGallery2

Attendee Table Name: AttendeeTable2

I've tried many different ways to get anything to count the rows, and nothing seems to work. Any help is appreciated.

I am not sure how in the database you are handling Approval column 
but imagine the data column name is status 

Collect(
    AttendeeTable2,
    {status: "Approved"},
    {status: "Rejected"},
    {status: "Approved"},
    {status: "Rejected"},
    {status: "Approved"},
    {status: "Rejected"},
    {status: "Approved"},
    {status: "Rejected"},
    {status: "Approved"},
    {status: "Rejected"}
)

then set the text property of the label to 

CountRows(Filter(AttendeeTable2, status = "Approved"))

 then you will be able to see the total Approved members.

The DataTable (AttendeeTable2) gets its information from a SharePoint List ('Event Registration'), and the data column name is called "Approval". 

When an Admin selects a person's name from the AttendeesTable2 and chooses 'Approve' or 'Reject', and clicks the Submit button, data is added to the Approval column in the Event Registration list.

I added the following to a Text Label:

CountRows(Filter(AttendeeTable2, Approval = "Approve"))

and received this error:

"Invalid argument type"

Does the The Approval Column have multiple values?

Like a dropdown!?

Is it the default Approval Value column feature of SharePoint which has the following values

0 - Approved: The item or document has been approved.

1 - Rejected: The item or document has been rejected.

2 - Pending: The item or document is awaiting approval.

3 - Draft: The item or document is a draft version.

4 - Scheduled: The item or document is scheduled for automatic approval at a later date.

It is a choice (or dropdown) column in SharePoint, but not the default approval column feature that you mentioned. 

My approval column has "Approve" and "Reject" as options, with the default being blank.

Comparing a Choice column is is kind of different 
Here's what you can do .

CountRows(Filter('TR-NewTeams','Approval '= 'Approval  (TR-NewTeams)'.Approved ))
// Here Approval is the column name and its

I think we're getting close to the solution! Thank you for helping me this far. 

The code you provided gave me the following error: "Name isn't recognized. 'Approval (Event Registration)'"

CountRows(Filter('Event Registration', 'Approval '= 'Approval  (Event Registration)'.Approved ))

I also tried 'Approval'='Approval ('Event Registration')' as well and get the same error.

Here is the SharePoint list and columns:

I need to count the number of people that were approved to go to a specific event. As an example, looking at the 1SGT Symposium, it should only count 1, not the total (2) approved for all events.

The choice in your code is not Approved It's Approve

Adding the extra condition to Filter the output based on Event title

Make sure to check the spelling based on your SP List

I figured it out. @tareqrosul, thanks for the help, it definitely got me where I needed to go. Here is the final solution:

CountIf('Event Registration', Approval.Value="Approve" && SelectEventGallery2.Selected.'Event Title'='Event Title')

I had to use CountIf instead of CountRows.
