Person column (multi select) in PowerApps gallery

Hi, 

I have been watched this great video here , I am trying to achieve something very similar.

The problem I have is, within my SharePoint list, I have a Person column which allows multi selections.

So within my gallery I have used a combo box to display the items in the column but can't seem to get it to work, it's not pulling through the entries already in that column.

I tried concat, and choices but to no avail.

Any help appreciated

@JimboSey set the combobox datasource to Choices(datasource.columnname)

For the DefaultSelectedItems use

ThisItem.ColumnName

Thank you, this worked fine. But I can't seem to edit the combobox when I add a new row in the gallery. Id like to be able to add people into the combox and patch to SP list.

@JimboSey have you enabled "Allow searching" for the ComboBox?

Fiinally, in the video he adds a button outside of the gallery to control all the items in the gallery to show either edit or view mode.

Is there a way I can add a button within the gallery, and that button will only switch the items (edit to view)  within the gallery item selected.

@JimboSey sure. I am on my mobile so I cant go into to much detail.

But ThisItem.IsSelected is the key for that. 

So let's say you have a Text Input in your Gallery. Set the Mode Property to 

If(ThisItem.IsSelected, Edit, View)

Thank you, I gave that a go but didn’t seem to do what I needed.

Here is how I currently have it set up, if it helps….

All the items in the gallery such as datepicker, dropdown etc I have the code If(varGridEditable, DisplayMode.Edit, DisplayMode.View)

Outside of the gallery I have a button with the following variable set in the onselect Set(varGridEditable,!varGridEditable) this changes the datepicker, dropdowns etc from edit to view and vice versa.

However on selecting the button, it opens all the items on every row of the gallery, id ideally like to have a button inside the gallery, which when clicked only makes the fields editable within that specific row/project, not the whole gallery.

@JimboSey Thats exactly what I have tried to describe. Add a button to your Gallery and for the OnSelect Property use:

Select(Parent)

For the controls in your Gallery which you want to "toggle" between DisplayMaode.Edit and DisplayMode.View use this formular for the DisplayMode Property:

If(ThisItem.IsSelected,DisplayMode.Edit,DisplayMode.View)

Hi, thanks again.

I did the above, but unfortunately it didnt seem to work, the button (I used an edit icon) when selected doesnt change the field from edit to view and vice versa.
